Intelligent Medical Transcription Creates Electronic Health Records from Patient Encounters Dictated by Physicians

Miami Lakes, FL May 11, 2004 -- In the process of providing transcribed dictations on the next day, Prescribe uses HL7 standards integrated with the Microsoft Office System 2003 to extract important pieces of information about the patient’s encounter from the dictation to build an EHR. “We don’t simply deliver documents to physicians in the form of transcriptions…we understand the potential value of the dictated information and provide that value to benefit physicians,” according to Marlon Williams, CEO and Chief Software Architect.
