Soundview Health Center Appoints David Eagle, M.D. Medical Director

BRONX, NY March 26, 2004 -- Soundview Health Center has appointed David B. Eagle, M.D., a leading medical expert in the field of Community Medicine, as Medical Director. The announcement was made by Pedro Espada, Jr., President of Soundview Health Network.
“We are delighted that Dr. Eagle has accepted the position of Medical Director,” said Mr. Espada. “He brings to Soundview strong leadership in the fields of public health and Social Medicine. Dr. Eagle’s expertise in pediatric and adolescent medicine ensures that Soundview will continue to provide families of the Bronx with high quality community oriented medical care for years to come.”

Dr. Eagle will continue to serve as a fellow for the American Academy of Pediatrics. A Board certified physician with the American Board of Pediatrics, and fellowship training in child development and behavior at Boston Children’s Hospital under T. Berry Brazelton, M.D., Dr. Eagle has had an impressive array of hospital and academic appointments. Dr. Eagle’s prior hospital appointments include serving for eight years as Director of Pediatric Training at Montefiore Medical Center’s Residency Program in Social Medicine. For the past five years Dr. Eagle was in practice and was an active staff member at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital.
